Crinkle wire has been used as an embellishment on Christmas ornaments since Victorian times, and this zig zag trim is still a staple for crafters of antique Christmas ornaments and a favorite embellishment for Christmas trees. To create beautiful tinsel-like icicles gently pull open the coiled bouillon wire and hook it on the branches of your tree. Formed from flattened, plated copper wire, our zig zag wire has an outer diameter that measures 3mm, or about 1/8" wide. Please note that authentic silver-plated crinkle wire will tarnish and develop a subtle patina with time. Made in Germany.
