Supplies: Blown Glass Indents, Scraps, Petite and Small Dresden Borders, Dresden Halos + Stars, Petite Fabric Trims, Scissors, Clear-Drying Craft Glue (like Aleene's)

Step 1: Gather your supplies: Cut out scraps and Dresden pieces, match halos to scraps, pair different sizes of Dresden borders with fabric trims, etc.

Step 2: We will work from the inside of the indent out.  If using a Dresden halo: Glue scrap to halo, let dry. Next add glue only to the parts of the scrap (or scrap + Dresden) that will touch the inside of the indent.  There is no need to coat the entire back -- in our example we used two drops of glue at the top and bottom of the Santa scrap.

Step 3: Gently place your scrap inside the indent making sure your glue touches the ornament.  Make sure you like the positioning and adjust if necessary.  Let dry.

Step 4: Gently bend a piece of petite Dresden border with points pointing inward.  Bend a longer piece than you think necessary -- you will trim the extra later.   Hold it up to judge how it will be placed, how it looks, etc. 

Step 5:   Lightly add glue directly onto your ornament along the edge of the indent.  Starting at the bottom (at 6 o-clock), gently apply the Dresden border, working your way all the way around.  Trim any excess border.  Let dry.

Step 6: Next add the fabric trim.  Cut a piece longer than necessary, hold it up to determine placement.   For looped trims, we like to position it with the loops pointing outward.  When pleased, glue trim in place starting at the bottom of the ornament just like with the Dresden border and trim any excess.  We like to add the glue right along the edge of the Dresden border so it slightly overlaps but does not obscure any of the points.  Let dry.

Step 7: Optional: Glue a Dresden star over where the fabric trims meet.  Let dry.

Tips: Try placing your supplies first before glueing to get a feel for placement, color combos, etc. 

If the indent is pretty inside, consider incorporating it instead of hiding it -- you can glue your scrap along the inside bottom edge of the indent so the colorfulness will show.  This is a good technique if you're using the colors inside the indent itself as a "halo".

No scrap needed: Try embellishing an indent that already has something in the center like the cat face, mushrooms, or Santa indents below.
